It's the first time in 15 years that an update has occurred and I am very excited!
It contains the five core food groups (not 3 as previous versions), plus healthy fats, according to how much they contribute to a balanced diet based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines (2013).
You'll notice that there is no longer an inclusion of 'sometimes food' (i.e. junk food), grains and cereals include some alternatives, and whilst fruit is still a major one, it is in a smaller proportion than vegetables.
